In India this service is usually sold as an AMC — an annual maintenance contract — or as monthly packages tiered by site type. On paper an AMC covers updates, backups, security and small changes. What maintenance actually is — and is not
Real maintenance is four things: keeping the software current and secure, keeping verified backups so a bad day is an inconvenience rather than a catastrophe, watching the site — uptime, speed, forms actually delivering enquiries — and making the small ongoing changes a living business generates: a new offer, a price, a team member, a season. It is not redesigns, new sections, or new features; those are projects, and a fair seller scopes them separately instead of stretching the word “maintenance” around them.
